Regular Season Review

Best Conference: Big East
The only other contender would be the Big 12 but the Big East has more depth and more quality big time teams. How i compared them: Kansas, Kansas St, Baylor, Texas A&m, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma St vs. Syracuse, West Virginia, Villanova, Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Marquette, Notre Dame, Louisville. I'm taking the Big East no problem in the comparison of tournament teams. How about the next couple teams in each conference: Texas Tech, Iowa St, Colorado vs. Seton Hall, South Florida, Uconn. Again, easily taking the Big East.

Worst Major Conference: Pac 10
This an easy pick. The Pacific 10 has been lackluster all year and the fact that this conference will get two teams max into the big dance is proof.

Most underrated conference: Mountain West
New Mexico, BYU, San Diego St, and UNLV make this the most underrated conference in the country. Among of the victims of this conference this year are California, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Dayton, Arizona St, Nevada(twice), UTEP, Arizona (3 times), Louisville, Illinois, Michigan, and Colorado.

Best Team: Kansas
31 Wins with just 2 losses and a strength of schedule of 7, Kansas take this prize. Kentucky (30-2) was considered but there #40 strength of schedule ruled them out. Syracuse (28-4) and Duke (27-5) couldnt overtake Kansas' strength of schedule and 2 quality losses.

Worst Team: Bryant
This pick was more for fun but probably not for the Bryant Bulldogs who with the #307 strength of schedule went just 1-29.

Early March Madness Predictions

March Madness is right around the corner and its about time for some predictions.

Most overrated going into the tournament
I'm going to have to give this title to Georgetown. They may luck out with getting to play a patsy in the first round but don't expect them to advance much further.

Most underrated going into tournament
Nobody is talking about Kansas St. and that's why they are in this spot

Bubble Team that can surprise the country if they get in San Diego State without a doubt. Wont have the greatest record and wont win the Mountain West but this very athletic team can be dangerous. Snubbed last year, look out if they get in this year.

Championship Game
Kansas vs. Duke

Champion
Kansas

February 16th's NCAAB Picks

Cincinnati (15-9) @ S. Florida (15-9)

Two bubble teams go at it in this big east battle. Slight favorite USF will have the home court advantage but i'm not going to agree with the "experts".

PICK: Cincinnati

#25Wake Forest (18-5) @ Virgina Tech (20-4)

Close game but being at home helps.

PICK: Virgina Tech

#2Kentucky (24-1) @ Mississippi St (18-7)

Maybe closer than expected but an easy pick for me when we're talking about the #2 team in the country.

PICK: Kentucky

OTHER PICKS:

#11Michigan St. (20-6) @ Indiana (9-15) PICK: Michigan St

Texas Tech (16-8) @ #23Baylor (19-5) PICK: Baylor

North Carolina (14-11) @ Georgia Tech (17-8) PICK: UNC

San Diego St. (18-7) @ TCU (12-14) PICK: SDSU

TCU blows shot at title consideration

If TCU would have been able to beat #6 Boise St in this years Fiesta Bowl, they would have finished 13-0 and earned a spot in the discussion for National Title. Ofcourse it would have had to been an AP National Title, split with the BCS title winner but that's not exactly chop liver. If Alabama ends up winning then it may not matter. Yet, if Texas wins the BCS title game then one would be forced to ponder, should the title be split with another team from Texas? Unlike Boise St, one could make a good argument that TCU played a worthy schedule. Lets take a look. They beat ACC member Virginia on the road, 9-5 Clemson on the road, 8-5 SMU, 8-5 Air Force on the road,11-2 BYU on the road, 10-3 Utah, and 7-6 Wyoming again on the road. I should mention that Clemson, SMU, Air Force, BYU, Utah and Wyoming all won their bowl games. This all sounds great until you remember it doesnt matter since they lost to Boise St in their own bowl game. The NFL live crew would say,"Come on man!" The Horned Frogs had a remarkable season but it's too bad they didn't give themselves a chance to enter the National Title Discussion.
